Gilgandra Shire Council is seeking a Casual Care Service Employee to join the team at Jack Towney Hostel!

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply and training will be provided for the right applicant.

  • Weekly pay cycle
  • Salary  $35.22 per hour

ABOUT THE ROLE

Provide a wide range of personal care services to residents, in accordance with Commonwealth and State Legislative requirements, and in accordance with the resident’s Care Plan.

ABOUT YOU

Council is looking for someone who has the following qualities, experience and/or qualifications:

  • Current first aid certificate or working towards
  • Experience working with and empathy towards the elderly
  • Understanding of dementia
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
  • Demonstrated commitment to training.
  • Understanding of Work Health and Safety
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence
  • Understanding of and empathy with Aboriginal culture
  • Ability to comply with documentation requirements
  • Certificate III in Aged Care or a willingness to obtain
