Gilgandra Shire Council is seeking a GIL Library Hub Officer Trainee to join the Growth & Liveability team!

A valuable opportunity to earn a nationally recognised qualification through hands-on, practical experience. 

Council will fund all related training expenses as approved by Council and the successful applicant will be employed for up to two (2) years and will offer a range in wages in accordance with the salary structure depending on age, acquired skills and experience.  

  • Full time - Fixed Term 2 years
  • Weekly pay cycle
  • Salary range $601.70 - $1230.40 (depending an age and experience) 

ABOUT THE ROLE

To assist in the day to day operation of the GIL Library Hub whilst completing a Certificate III Library and Information Services.

Essential

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023.

ABOUT YOU

Council is looking for someone who has the following qualities, experience and/or qualifications:

  • Class C Drivers Licence
  • Possess a genuine commitment to complete the traineeship within the required timeframes
  • Positive attitude to work and a willingness to work as a team, to help others and to learn
  • Punctual and a good attendance record
  • Ability to provide high level of customer service
  • Sound written and oral communication skills
  • A genuine interest in reading and books
