About the Opportunity
Gilgandra Shire Council has a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated Cooee Lodge Hostel Manager to join their team in the Cooee Lodge Aged Care Facility.
About the position
The role is responsible for the overall management of residential aged care at Cooee Lodge Hostel and will oversee the delivery of high quality, best practice care to consumers ensuring compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards (ACQS) and Council’s operational plans.
About you:
Council is looking for someone who has the following qualities, experience and or qualifications
- Possess tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in Health Administration and/or Nursing
- Demonstrated experience in residential aged care services and a genuine empathy towards the elderly
- Demonstrated understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards
- Minimum five (5) years leadership experience
- Possess high level communications skills and a consumer first focus with an empathy for end of life care
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Workplace Health and Safety practices in the workplace.
- Current Class C Driver’s Licence
- Possess enthusiasm towards transformational change and continuous improvement
- Demonstrated interest in personal professional development
- Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain

Salary: $2406.82 - $2888.16 per week. Consideration will be given to negotiation based on market value.
